This Privacy Policy explains how Salat Now (“the App”, “we”) handles information when you use our iOS application. We built Salat Now to work primarily offline on your device. We do not operate a Salat Now account system and we do not run an app backend that receives your prayer or location data.

1. Who we are

Salat Now is an independent prayer-times and Qibla utility for iPhone. For privacy questions, email luolin0231@gmail.com.

2. Information processed on your device

The App may process the following information locally on your iPhone to provide features:

• Location — GPS or a city you select, used to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction. Location is requested with “While Using the App” permission when needed.
• Device compass heading — used only on the Qibla screen to show direction.
• Settings you choose — for example calculation method, madhhab, notification preferences, language, Travel Mode, saved cities, and Live Activity preferences.
• Widget / Live Activity data — prayer times and related display data shared with the Salat Now widget extension through an on-device App Group so Home Screen, Lock Screen, and Live Activities can update.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect government ID, contacts, photos, or microphone audio.

3. What we do not do

• We do not upload your location, prayer times, or settings to a Salat Now server (the App has no such backend).
• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not show third-party advertising in the App.
• We do not use third-party analytics SDKs to profile you inside Salat Now.

4. Apple and system services

Some processing is performed by Apple as part of iOS, for example:

• system location and notification services;
• App Store purchase of the paid app;
• WidgetKit and ActivityKit for widgets and Live Activities.

Apple’s handling of that data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and your device settings.

5. Open-source calculation library

Prayer times and Qibla bearing are calculated on device using the open-source Adhan Swift library. That calculation happens locally and does not send your data to us.

6. Permissions

• Location — optional but needed for automatic GPS times and Qibla. You may instead pick a city manually.
• Notifications — optional; used for prayer reminders you enable.
• Live Activities — optional Lock Screen / Dynamic Island countdown you can enable in settings.

You can withdraw permissions in iOS Settings at any time. Some features will then be limited.

7. Data retention

Because data stays on your device, it remains until you change it in the App or delete the App. Uninstalling Salat Now removes locally stored App data, subject to normal iOS behavior (including any Apple purchase records retained by Apple).

8. Children

Salat Now is a general utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Salat Now server.

9. International users

The App is designed for offline use. Any processing described here occurs on your device (and via Apple services you already use on that device).

10. Changes

We may update this Policy when the App’s features or practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change accordingly. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
