These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the iOS / watchOS app Zman Now. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service

Zman Now provides approximate Jewish times (zmanim), direction toward Jerusalem, reminders, widgets, Live Activities, and related tools. Calculations are performed on your device (including via KosherSwift, a Swift port of KosherJava) based on the location and minhag settings you provide.

Important: Zman Now is a calculator, not a halachic authority. Times are calculated from your selected minhag. This app does not issue a rabbinic ruling. Confirm Shabbat and Yom Tov times with your rabbi and community, especially when travelling.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Zman Now on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store terms and these Terms.

3. Paid app

Zman Now is distributed as a paid download on the App Store. The purchase price grants access to the full feature set of the App. There is no separate in-app unlock for core features.

• Pricing is shown by the App Store in your local currency before you buy.
• Billing and refunds for the App Store purchase are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to reverse engineer it except where permitted by law, interfere with Apple services, or use the App in any unlawful manner.

5. Accuracy and device limitations

• Times depend on the minhag you select, your location, and the precision of your device clock.
• Direction accuracy depends on GPS / compass calibration and device hardware.
• Notifications and Live Activities depend on iOS permission and system power settings.
• Far north or south, some astronomical angles may not occur; the App may show Unavailable instead of inventing a time.

6. Intellectual property

Zman Now name, branding, and original app content are protected by applicable IP laws. Third-party libraries (including KosherSwift / KosherJava under the LGPL) remain subject to their own licenses.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including fitness for a particular religious or legal purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on zmanim, direction, missed reminders, purchase issues handled by Apple, or inability to use the App.

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes and termination

We may update the App and these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may stop offering the App or features. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it.
